Any shipment which enters Mexico with large quantities of cash/cheques or any type of payment authorization larger or equivalent to ten thousand US. Dollars must be obligated to declare to the custom authorities using the official forms approved by TAX Administration of Mexico. 

If not declare correctly, it would be confiscated by custom authorities and the shipper/consignee must face the criminal proscution.
